About us
AWI Eberlein GmbH is a service provider for C-parts management. Together with Friedrich Eberlein GmbH and peel-plate GmbH, we are part of Eberlein GRUPPE in Langfurth.
As a group, we are not only focused on the present and a traditional past, but above all on the future. For this reason, our economic and social activities are based on three pillars: Quality, Sustainability and Tradition. We take our responsibilities as a business partner, as an employer and as part of a sustainable world very seriously.
Quality
The quality of our services results from the complex interplay of individual business processes. This complexity needs to be monitored and coordinated. We are committed to continually reviewing our quality standards and are certified to the DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management standard. Regular audits demonstrate that we are successfully working to the requirements of this standard and that we meet and exceed the guidelines.
However, excellence cannot be prescribed by norms and tested on the basis of standards. We work every day to actively and consciously integrate quality management into our daily work and make it directly tangible. The responsibility for the quality of our services lies not only with the Quality Manager, but with each and every employee. The management is constantly working on maintaining an open and solution-oriented culture of improvement and feedback, a practical suggestion scheme and the sustainable integration of quality management in each individual department to ensure that quality is handled responsibly.
Industries & projects
We demonstrate our passion for quality every day in a wide range of industries and projects. Here are some examples of how we have worked successfully with our loyal customers.
Policy, strategy & goals
Consistent quality and continuous improvement are the foundation of our long-term business success. For us, quality means meeting and, where possible, exceeding the expressed and unspoken expectations of our customers. Our group of companies sees itself as a single entity and is constantly expanding in the interests of our customers.
A key part of our strategy is to diversify our products and services. At AWI Eberlein, we don’t stop at visions, we join forces to make them a reality. Motivated and well-trained employees are our most important resource to compete in the marketplace. Ongoing training is a matter of course for us and not only secures jobs, but also enables us to process new requirements economically. As a company with a family working culture, we see ourselves as a fair partner, not with the maxim of profit maximisation, but with a win-win situation for all involved. Through clear and understandable communication, we create a common understanding and focus among all our employees. The measurability of objectives is an important part of this.
We use our management system to support the achievement of company objectives. In addition, Friedrich Eberlein GmbH conscientiously fulfils the requirements of the FSC certification CoC. Through the control loop of continuous improvement, it is a challenge for all employees to actively participate in the further development of the company by identifying and realising potential for improvement.
We are committed to protecting the environment. The responsible use of natural resources is the logical consequence of our family-oriented mission statement, which is about creating a better world for future generations. We want to use raw materials and energy sparingly and minimise environmentally harmful emissions and waste. The environmental impact of new activities, products, technologies and processes is assessed before they are introduced and then monitored regularly to identify weaknesses and take appropriate preventive and remedial action.
Based on applicable environmental legislation, customer requirements and other binding commitments, our aim is to systematically and continuously improve the environmental performance of our operations. We therefore actively promote environmental awareness among our employees. We also welcome dialogue with other interested parties about environmental issues in our business.
Sustainability
For us, sustainability means not only treating nature and the environment, responsibly, sondern unser gegenwärtiges but also organising our day-to-day activities in such a way that we as a company, our employees, their families and the entire region benefit in the long term. Making it a matter of course to think ahead for the next generation is at the heart of our understanding of sustainable business. This is why we are constantly working to develop our sustainability strategy.
Environment
The responsible use of our natural resources is the logical consequence of our family-oriented mission statement, which is about creating a better world for future generations.
Environmentally responsible behaviour affects every single employee and starts in the workplace. For example, we actively ensure waste separation, responsible use of electrical and thermal energy, avoidance of unnecessary transport and multiple packaging, and recycling of office supplies, equipment and packaging materials.
The goal of processing our orders in an environmentally responsible manner was achieved with the successful completion of the „Paperless Office“project in 2016. Since then, order processing has been entirely electronic, significantly reducing paper, toner and printing waste.
Renewable energy has been on our agenda for a long time now. In 2009, F. Wilhelm Eberlein installed an environmentally friendly woodchip heating system for internal heat generation. Since 2006, the Eberlein Group has been generating electricity via its own photovoltaic system, which is fed into the public grid. We are proud of the fact that our electricity consumption has been lower than our own production for six years.
Employees
The commitment, experience and skills of our employees are the foundation of our company’s success.
We value the diverse skills of our colleagues and are constantly working to create the basis for the needs-based and individual development of our employees. It is the declared aim of management to ensure that that employees remain with the company for many years and have a wide range of development opportunities during their employment.
Low staff turnover means that we can retain the valuable experience and knowledge of our colleagues over the long term. But a low turnover is also a challenge in terms of further training our colleagues as they develop. It also calls for work concepts that can be flexibly adapted to private changes and new life phases. We are happy to take on this challenge, for example by enabling our employees to combine work and family life, by reducing working hours for older employees and by offering further training.
The Eberlein Group takes the health and safety safety of its employees very seriously. It is the stated aim of the management to provide a safe and ergonomic workplace for every employee and to maintain a health-promoting corporate culture based on an open error and feedback culture..
Region
Since the beginning of our company’s history, we have been deeply rooted in our hometown of Langfurth in Middle Franconia, Bavaria. We value the commitment, straightforwardness, directness, personal proximity and, of course, the unspoilt landscape of our home region. It is important to us to make a contribution to maintaining the regional infrastructure and thus the attractiveness of our location.
Among other things, we see it as our duty to support young people. On the one hand, we want to make a contribution through our role as a regional training company. On the other hand, we are also involved as a sponsor of the JFG Sulzachtal youth football organisation, which provides a platform for young people to form football teams across the region.
As well as supporting young people, we are committed to maintaining our home in Middle Franconia as an attractive business location. For this reason, the Group is working hard to ensure that the local area has a fast Internet connection. F. Wilhelm Eberlein is also an active founding member of the property protection association ESG Brunnen Haslach/Matzmannsdorf e.V. on behalf of the Group, demonstrating further commitment to maintaining the economic viability of the region.
Tradition
Familie und family cohesion are the cornerstones of our society and our business. In addition to the family management of the company, this paradigm includes respect for the families of our employees and a respectful and responsible approach to the family in our socialisation.
The history of our Group shows that the growth of our companies is understood as a continuous and organic process. The health of our family of companies, rather than the well-being of individual shareholders, has always been at the centre of the Eberlein Group’s entrepreneurial activities.
A low debt ratio allows the Group to stand on an independent and economically sound footing and enables it to act prudently from a strong base. The consistent reinvestment of generated capital in personnel development, strategy and infrastructure makes us strong for the challenges of the future.
AWI Eberlein is part of the Eberlein Group and is now in its fourth generation of ownership and management by members of the Eberlein family.
